You don't have to be a kid to like miniature versions of favorite foods, although if you have kids, they will definitely love these. I'm willing to bet there are a few grown men out there that won't have any complaints either. Whether you are looking for a fun meal for football season or just something that the whole family can enjoy and doesn't take much time, these sliders are sure to be a hit.
Ingredients:
1 package (20 oz.) Extra Lean Ground Turkey Breast
2 egg whites
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/2 cup diced onions
sea salt & black pepper
Orowheat 100% whole wheat mini sandwich thins
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine extra lean ground turkey breast, diced onions, minced garlic, egg whites, Italian bread crumbs, and a generous sprinkling of sea salt and black pepper.
Step 2: Heat grill (I just use a George Foreman). Knead meat mixture together well with hands until thoroughly combined. Form individual mini turkey patties by rolling small amount in hand and then flattening slightly. Set patties aside on a plate. 20 oz. makes up to 12 sliders.
Step 3: Grill burgers until cooked through and no longer pink inside (about 5 minutes on George Foreman). Serve on top of a mini sandwich thin with mustard, fresh spinach, roma tomato, red onion and pickles or your own favorite fixin's. Eat a couple and save a couple for later. They are just as fantastic the next day.
